Carolyn DiIulio is an advisor to business owners, specializing in increasing the efficiency of business operations by applying her experiences in the various aspects of a business ranging from mindset to processes. Her expertise is improving business operations to full productivity and efficiency for owners who want to sell. She currently serves as an affiliate partner for Security Equity Group, a private equity firm that specializes in venture capital and acquisition of SMEs (small-to-medium enterprises).

Carolyn’s first introduction to the operations and management of a small business came as a newlywed when her father-in-law took her on a tour of the corrugated box company he had started in his garage many years earlier. She was intrigued by the processes of watching sheets of corrugated board be made into the custom boxes while she met the employees who explained the machinery and the processes. She occasionally joined her father-in-law on sales calls, meeting the recipients of those boxes, and seeing first-hand the full circle of the product.

Carolyn’s interest in the operations of a small business continued throughout her husband’s military career as they moved around the country, toured factories, and paid attention to the businesses they patronized.

Carolyn is an award-winning quilter who has taught classes in shops and to quilt groups. She is a mother and grandmother, and serves her community as a court-appointed advocate for children in foster care. She lives with her husband in Virginia.
